Leadership Broward is focused on bringing together leaders within the community to expose them to the many issues that face our community as well as the numerous resources available. As part of the 10 month long program, Sean will have the opportunity to work with one non-profit organization on a group project with 7 other members of Class 35.
Sean will be working with Children’s Harbor, a foster care group home. Sean’s project team will be working to create awareness about the benefits of keeping siblings together, in a quality group care model. This helps with stability in the children’s lives and allows for easier case management, visitation and encourages adoption of the sibling group. Sean and the team will be working to try and help identify and distinguish the different categories of residential group foster care and helping to shed light on the many benefits that quality group care foster homes like Children’s Harbor provide.
“I am extremely excited to have the opportunity to work with such a great organization as well as my project team!” – Sean Pleus, Esquire at Goldman and Daszkal, P.A. “Having had the opportunity to visit Children’s Harbor and see first hand how quality group foster care can be so beneficial as well as seeing the dedication of the parents and employees there has been very inspiring. I look forward to the year ahead of us and what we will be able to do to create awareness not only in Broward County but throughout the State of Florida.” – stated Sean Pleus.
