Attorney Sean Pleus was elected to serve as Vice Chair on the Board of Directors for Gilda’s Club South Florida. Sean has been an active member of the Board of Directors at Gilda’s Club since January 2016. “It is such an honor to be able to serve on the board with such great people and for such an awesome organization. I am always blessed to work with people who are helping those in need and making sure that no one has to deal with cancer on their own,” commented Sean.
Gilda’s Club is a non-profit organization named in honor of comedian Gilda Radner – one of the original cast members of Saturday Night Live. The organization, an affiliate of the Cancer Support Community, offers free programs for men, women, teens, and children as well as their families and friends who have been touched by cancer. Gilda’s Club South Florida held its 22nd annual “Live from South Florida…It’s Saturday Night!” in Fort Lauderdale on March 10, 2018. As a supporter of Gilda’s Club, Goldman and Daszkal, P.A. was represented at this entertainment event that brought a comedian to center stage while raising funds to enable Gilda’s Club to operate in South Florida.
Attorney Sean Pleus attended the Catwalk to Conquer Cancer Runway Show, organized by the Young Lawyers Section (YLS) of the Broward County Bar Association to benefit Gilda’s Club. The Broward County YLS event raised $20,000, all of which was donated to Gilda’s Club of South Florida. Sean noted,
“This event was a great opportunity for cancer survivors (men, women and children) to walk down the runway and feel great about themselves. Thank you to the Broward County YLS for all your hard work and for putting on such a great afternoon for everyone!”
