Can I Sue the Truck Driver’s Trucking Company for My Injuries?

Here in South Florida, we deal with a lot of cases involving trucking accidents. If a truck either hits a car, loses a tire, it falls off and it hits a car, you can pursue a claim against not only the driver but you can also pursue a claim against the trucking company that owns the truck.

Oftentimes, though, it’s very tricky because if the name of a company is on a truck, it doesn’t necessarily mean that they own the truck. You also have to establish several factors to know if you can pursue a claim against the trucking company in addition to the driver. However, it is very common, and most companies do own their own trucks, or they control what the driver is doing, when they’re doing it, how they’re doing it. If you can establish those factors, often it’s very beneficial to bring a claim not only against the driver but the trucking company itself.

So, if you’ve been injured in an accident and you have questions about your injuries, about compensation, we’re available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Please feel free to give me a call. I’m happy to go through those questions with you.
